Two filmmakers managed to shot a version of the internet meme in Times Square using social media they got close to 300 people to join in the Melee with two unsuspecting guest courtesy of New York’s Finest.

Tonight in Times Square a new light graffiti work will diplayed by emerging artist/substitute teacher Vicki DaSilva; thanks to a contest by ArtistsWanted.org. her piece is taking up prime space usually occupied by an ad for Sprint. The unveiling of the billboards in Times Square will feature Questlove, the drummer from the Roots hosting from the pedestrian plaza on 43rd Street and he will also D.J. the after-party nearby later in the night.
This is a time lapse movie made from images from a public webcam overlooking Times Square in New York City. The clip starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, 15 October 2011 and ends at 1 a.m. the next day. It shows the police first setting up barriers, the Occupy Wall Street protesters gathering at around 0:40 in the video, leaving at around 0:55, and then everything getting back to normal. The frames were taken 30 seconds apart and played back at 15 frames per second.
ANIMAL captured this footage of Andy Golub painting naked models in the middle of Times Square yesterday. Zoe West, 21, dropped dropped the g-string after all. Gasp! The model was arrested, clad only in neon body paint. Apparently, the cops weren’t informed that according to the New York State law, public nudity is not lewd if it’s part of a play, performance, exhibition or show.
