Jim Jones Says The Diplomats Might Have A Reality Show

Get More: Music News

With his Vampire Life clothing movement already making noise Jim Jones is ready to bring the world new visuals and music from The Diplomats.

After announcing they would be making a comeback two years ago the group released the song “Salute” and has since played spot concerts here and there including a surprise appearance during Drake’s set this past weekend at sold out Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, New York. But there still has been no full album from Capo, Cam’Ron, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey.

Jones insists a disc is forthcoming though. He told MTV that he and Killa have been in the lab. The first offering will be a Lil Wayne assisted single entitled “Have You Ever Made Love to a Diplomat.”

“Me and Killa has been working diligently together and recording and things like that. So, everything is moving not as fast as everybody else would want it to, but it’s moving just on time for us,” Jim said. “The Diplomat album is definitely in the works.”

Jones said he hopes the recording of the reunion album will be the subject of a reality show, which would lead up to the December release of the album.

Cam’ron Talks Work Ethic: The Diplomats On RapFix Live Preview

“Jim’s got a good work ethic too. His work ethic is crazy,” Cam’ron said last year of he and Jones’ reunion. “He’s in the studio all the time. I’m in the studio. The producer AraabMuzik is signed to DukeDaGod. Araab went and took Jim some beats. I already had the beat [for 'Salute']. Jim said, ‘Let’s do something to this.’ We got it done.

“It wasn’t no big story behind it,” Cam added. “He sent me the record, I did it. He went to Juelz’s studio, I knocked it out. Jim comes by my crib where the studio at. We sit down for two, three hours, and we go in the basement and knock the songs out. I’m not gonna sit here and act like some spaceship landed or a boat docked. Jim comes by the house, we go in the basement, we smoke, do the song, that’s it. We go back in another two, three days and do the same thing.”
