SWATCH UNVEILS CLASSIC IRONY IN GOLD AND CRYSTALS

Swiss watch and jewellery maker Swatch presents the Classic Collection (PVD Extensions), featuring gold and glittering crystals in six new variations on classic Irony style. Two models each from the Irony Chrono, Medium and Big lines offer sophisticated versions in pink and yellow gold PVD. A clear, clean design presents black dials and links setting off polished golden surfaces, enhanced in four of the six models by sparkling, transparent white crystals on the bezel or dial.

Irony Chrono, Medium and Big models feature signature Irony cases in 40, 37 and 33mm polished stainless steel 316L, while the pink and yellow gold PVD surfaces and sparkling white crystals add an upmarket air. The bold design concept deploys black dials, touches of black on the bezels and black nylon links on all but the Irony Big models to send a clear, simple message of assured style and elegance.

New Era Japan has their take on the American pastime of baseball with a range of New York Yankees caps fitted with snakeskin on the visor. All presented with the classic Yankees logo front and center, the range consists of red, black and traditional – all with slightly different amphibious pattern. SWATCH JOINS FESTIVITIES FOR MEXICO’S DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Swiss watch and jewellery maker Swatch is pleased to participate in this year’s Dia de Muertos celebrations at the beginning of November. The festival, whose roots reach back to pre-colonial times, brings ancient beliefs and customs to life as the souls of the dead return to visit their loved ones. Friends and families come together to welcome them, to celebrate with fireworks, bright costumes and traditional foods, including pan de muertos and skulls made of chocolate or sugar with coloured decoration. Offerings are set out on altars in the home, to remember and honour the dearly departed.

Dia de Muertos (GZ269), a Gent Originals, evokes traditional elements associated with this enormously popular festival. On a black dial framed by a 34 mm black plastic case and black silicone strap, white skulls with highlights in red, purple, pink, light blue and green mock death and celebrate the joys of life. Dia de Muertos comes in a special sleeve decorated, like the watch, with white skulls highlighted by a child’s bright colours, floating in the dark.
