The New Museum and Art Production Fund (APF) present “After Hours 2 the sequel to After Hours: Murals On Bowery project. The project consist of 15 artists who create murals on the steel gates of commercial supply shops on the the Bowery, between East Houston and Grand Streets. The mural can be seen when shops are closed, the murals will be accompanied by a cell phone audio guide and a full map that is available at the New Museum. “After Hours 2: Murals on the Bowery” will be on view from April 25 through September 29, 2013.

The birthday celebration tribute mural for street photographer Martha Cooper will be short lived as the Bowery Mural exchanges cans yet again. Next up on the Bowery Mural is a new piece from Bronx graffiti artist CRASH aka John Matos. The new piece seems to feature the classic cartoon Popeye The Sailor Man punching into Crash’s name, we will see as the piece is expected to be done by Friday.
