GoodFella’s Henry Hill the famed government informant who the book Wiseguy and the film Goodfellas is based on has died this morning at the age of 69. A low rank member of the Lucchese’s Hill entered the witness protection program in 1980, after he was arrested on drug charges. Later, he testified against the Lucchese crime family, of which he had been a member.
On the Facebook page, Nate Caserta, son of Hill’s fiancee Lisa Schinelli Caserta, wrote that “Henry was one of the most laid bad chill guys ever. It breaks my heart knowing I will never get to talk to him again.”
“Boardwalk Empire” on HBO is from Terence Winter, Emmy Award-winning writer of “The Sopranos,” and Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese.
