Yesterday was famed graffiti photographer’s Martha Cooper’s birthday. A tribute Martha Cooper Mural was in the works for her at the Bowery Mural by some well known graffiti artist from LADY PINK, HOW, NOSM, FREE5, TERROR161, CRASH, DAZE, BIO, FREEDOM and other graffiti writers.

Roger Gastman needs your help to fund his documentary Wall Writers: Graffiti in It’s Innocence the documentary was additionally produced and written by Upper west Side graffiti artist FREEDOM aka Chris Pape The movie needs donation to attain the rights too much of the archival footage and cover the costs of post production in addition they also want to do a showing of the film in NY and LA before Wall Writers goes out for general distribution.

Chris Pape Aka Freedom the Revisits Freedom Tunnels appartly named after him In Riverside Park on the upper west side part of Manhattan
Chris Pape, 50, recently revisited the abandoned freight train tunnel under Riverside Park where he began painting huge murals on the walls in 1980. Back then, he armed himself with 40 cans of spray paint and created his first image, a re-creation of the “Mona Lisa.”
