Creator of Lemonheads Passes Away at 97

The creator of Lemonheads Nello Ferrara has passed away at the of 97.Mr. Ferrara’s father Salvatore founded Ferrara Pan with his brothers-in-law Salvatore Buffardi and Anello Pagano in 1908.

If you a New York City kid you have found memories of purchasing this at your local Bodega’s and Deli’s.

Mr. Ferrara joked that he came up with the idea for Lemonheads in 1962 because his son was born with a lemon-shaped head.

New York Rangers Fan Was Beatin In Philly After Flyers Lost @ Winter Classic

A off duty Cop and Irag Veteran was savagely beat up after the Rangers vs Flyers game this pass Monday outside the famous cheesesteak shop, Geno’s, in Downtown Philadelphia.

NBC New York reports that Neal Auricchio, 30, was beaten so badly he was hospitalized with a concussion. He is a former Marine who earned a Purple Heart in Iraq, and then returned for a second tour of duty. Auricchio currently is a police officer in New Jersey with the Woodbridge Police Department.

Video Of Occupy Walls St Protester Being Arrested At Grand Central

Videos Of Occupy Wall Street organizers being arrested on Tuesday because of a “mic check” at Grand Central Station around 5PM.

It was lawful assembly, but the MTA police moved in and arrested a woman for chanting . An OWS supporter said he overheard cops saying, “If she does it one more time [mic checks] go get her.” And so they did, without warning.

Msg vs Time Warner Cable Leaves Suscribers With Knicks/Rangers Game’s Gone

Time Warner Cable Inc. viewers are looking to find other ways to watch New York Knicks basketball and New York Rangers hockey games that were shown on Madison Square Garden Co. (MSG)’s networks, because of a programming-fee standoff between the companies.

According to Bloomberg Media

Time Warner Cable’s 2.8 million MSG subscribers lost access to the channels after an agreement lapsed at 12 a.m. yesterday. MSG and Time Warner Cable are fighting over the rates the network is paid for allowing broadcast of its content.

The cable company told subscribers in a broadcast message yesterday that they could still watch some of the hometown teams’ games on other channels, while MSG Media President Mike Bair said that would be small consolation.

The New York Rangers did one hell of a comeback to beat the Philadelphia Flyers not @ their home turf but close enough playing the game @ a baseball Stadium in Philly .The Score was 3 to 2 Mike Rupp scored two goals and Brad Richards posted the winning shot that brought the New York Rangers win at the Winter Classic.
