Plans are in the works to have a park named after Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch the late great rapper/philanthropist. The park to be named in his honor is The Palmetto Playground which is in Adam’s childhood neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights .The park will be officially be renamed the Adam Yauch Playground, with a ceremony being held this Friday, May 3rd.
Legendary rapper/producer DOOM aka MF DOOM links up with East Coast producer Clams Casino for this track called Bookfiend.

The New Museum and Art Production Fund (APF) present “After Hours 2 the sequel to After Hours: Murals On Bowery project. The project consist of 15 artists who create murals on the steel gates of commercial supply shops on the the Bowery, between East Houston and Grand Streets. The mural can be seen when shops are closed, the murals will be accompanied by a cell phone audio guide and a full map that is available at the New Museum. “After Hours 2: Murals on the Bowery” will be on view from April 25 through September 29, 2013.

Your view entering Queens from the 7 train will likely be changing as the 5Pointz redevelopment plans have been revealed. The Graffiti mecca latest redevelopment plans will now include two towers (Picture Below) which is an increase of nearly 400 units from what is currently allowed—in addition to minor commercial space. The largest of the tower will be 47 stories and 498 feet, with the smaller building coming in at 40 floors and 440 feet.
After rumors were circulating it is now confirmed that Kanye West will appear on Saturday Night Live’s 38th season Finale. The show will be hosted by Ben Affleck which would be his 5th time and Kanye West as musical guest the show will air on May 18th on NBC.
