Inspired by ALI graffiti artist Marc André Edmonds, also known as J. Walter Negro who coined the term Zoo York and created the Original Zoo York the ‘Soul Artists’ of Zoo York A skating & graffiti crew of my fellow Upper West Siders .
In late 2009 I began to noticed a lack of representation for the Borough Of Manhattan I felt pride of being born and bred on the island of Manhattan so instead of my city I wanted to represent what my borough was about so i thought of the term Mathhattan a play on the name Manhattan replacing the Man with Math and leaving the Hattan at the end hence Math-hattan was born. I renamed so because with more money and people pouring into the borough and nyc in general the amount of math being done you always have to do the math.
My original intentions was T-shirt brand but now I consider it a blog/Lifestyle brand about music ,entertainment, art ,news not found in the mainstream. Based In Manhattan aka now as Mathhattan™ New York City.
